Obituary for Freddie van Reenen

Freddie van Reenen
Celebration of Life services for Freddie van Reenen, 38, of Longview will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2015 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Pastors Bud Miller and Bo Bolding officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Freddie was born March 17, 1977, in Boksburg, South Africa.

Left to carry out his legacy and testimony are his proud best friend and wife Sarah, and the lights of his life, his children Bryson and Riley. Also left to carry out his legacy are his proud parents, Dirk, Sr., and Androetta and his mom-in-love Jeanne Donner. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters and their spouses, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews here in the USA and in South Africa.

Freddie loved the Lord with all his heart and strived to have a heart like David, which is a heart after Christ, and his favorite word was “hope”. He had a passion for Rugby since he was 4 years old and worked to promote the love and spirit of real rugby. He loved his rugby boys and his Azleway boys….his other “sons”.

In his life, he always worked so very hard to deliver his excellent best to his patients, his rugby and Azleway boys and most recently, his customers in his lawn business.
In lieu of flowers, a scholarship has been created on his behalf to enable his love of Rugby to be carried on and his passion for the sport to be continued. Checks may be mailed to Lonestar Conference, 6339 Parkland Oaks, San Antonio, TX 78240, In Memory of Freddie, Attn: Shayne Roberson or PayPal contributions may be sent to lonestarconferencerugby@gmail.com.

“He fought the good fight and finished his race victoriously in Christ here on this earth and kept the faith in his precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
